Why need to use metal separator?

Small metal particles in the plastic melting process often result in costly breakdown of injection moulders, extruder and blow moulders. The quantity of such metal contaminants increases throughout the processing of regranulates and grinding block. As a result, clogged nozzles, filters and hot channel systems can lead to production downtime and delayed delivery.

The PEC2005B metal separator is used in vacuum and pressure pipelines to protect injection moulder and machines. It can detect all magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminants(iron, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, etc) which mixed in the products. Metal contaminants can be rejected out automatically via flap separation unit. Machine is suitable for metal detection and separation of materials in pipeline systems with pressure or vacuum.

Working principle: The material is transported by pressure or vacuum suction along the detection tube through the detection coil. When there is metal contamination in the material, the detection coil will give a signal, and the flap separator unit will reject the metal with material. Due to the closed state of the storage bin, there will be no pressure or vacuum loss. When the metal is rejected, the storage bin will automatically open, pouring out materials which containing metal contaminants.

10. Fast rejection speed, minimal material loss, integrated structure, and easy integration into pipeline systems;

11. Passing materials: dry, with good fluidity, no long fibers, particles less than 6mm (dust particles less than 0.5mm).
